Module 1: Welcome and Overview

This module explains workshop overview detailing logistics of workshop. The second half of the presentation details overview of OCS 2007.

Module 2: Architecture

Module 2 details the system architecture that is used by OCS 2007. This module details OCS fundamentals, server roles, and component dependencies. This module also details planning and deployment scenarios.

Module 3: IM and Rich Presence

Module 3 describes the rich presence advancement that Office Communications Server is delivering. Additionally this module describes Office Communicator clients, and deployment scenarios.

Module 4 illustrates the new on-premise conferencing capability within OCS 2007 and the differences between LiveMeeting Service and on-premise capability. This module also differentiates conferencing clients and requirements.

Module 7: Voice Capabilities

Module 7 explains routing concepts, normalization rules, and call flows within OCS 2007 and build-out of a dial-plan within your environment.

Before attending this course, students must have core knowledge of TCP/IP, Certificate Services, and core Windows Server knowledge.

For Example:

  • Completed Course 2028A, Basic Administration of Microsoft Windows 2000, or have equivalent knowledge of administrative tasks.
