81143BC: System Admin and Deployment Planning in Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, Enterprise Edition (5 Days)
Description
This course describes system administration and deployment planning in Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, Enterprise edition. It starts with with an in-depth overview of deployments using the tools available, and discusses how licensing and subscriptions for Microsoft services work as well as describing the build process and environments for both cloud and on-premises deployments. It then looks at managing users and security including security architecture, LCS security and the Extensible Data Security (XDS) Framework.
It then takes an in-depth look at the administration functionality including hotfixes trace parser, batch jobs, and email setup, as well as data caching, database logging, the use of configuration keys and system parameters, and the Power BI process. The organization model is introduced and how to create models and hierarchies, and assign hierarchy purposes.
The course then turns to workflows and how to use them and the graphical workflow editor as well as how to create and set up queues. Next the tools available for diagnostics and monitoring are presented and the hot, warm, and cold paths that diagnostics and telemetry can take are described. Environment monitoring and the system diagnostic dashboard are reviewed and performance troubleshooting using LCS is described. Finally an in-depth overview of building and consuming data packages is presented
